Working in and around the restaurant business for most of his life, Austin developed a love for wine after college. He took a job as a bartender at a wine bar and obsession soon set in. As with many wine geeks, he threw himself into the wine world and developed an insatiable thirst (pun intended) for everything wine.

Austin has managed restaurants and run wine programs in Philadelphia and Los Angeles, and continues to work in the wine industry. Austin is a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, and is currently studying for the Advanced Sommelier certification through the Court. He holds two certificates from the Napa Valley Wine Academy: Master of Burgundy & Master of Bordeaux.
